Install the extension
Printlane is available as a Magento extension which you can download on the Magento Marketplace:
Next, follow these steps to complete the installation:
Unzip the extension,
Move the contents of the zip file to the
app/code
directory of the Magento 2 installation,Make sure the file structure looks like this:
app/code/Spectrum/Colorlab
Run
php bin/magento setup:upgrade
to finalize the installation.
Connect to an existing Printlane Account
If you don't have a Printlane account just yet, get in touch with us using the Printlane website to request a trial account.
If you already have a Printlane account, proceed reading.
Configure the extension
Log in to the Magento store
Navigate to Stores - Configuration:
Open the Printlane menu on the left
Configure the extension's settings:
Enabled: Set to
yes
to activate the extension.Show thumb in cart: When set to

the product image in the shopping cart is replaced with an previw image of the design.Store ID: The Printlane Store ID, you can find this on the settings page in Printlane studio.
API key: Entering an API key linked to your Printlane Store will allow to display orders containing a design in Printlane Studio. You can configure an API key in Printlane Studio.
API Secret: The secret linked to your API key, which you can find in Printlane Studio.
Add To Cart Button Class: Enter a CSS-classname for your add to cart button (defaults to
button.tocart
which the Designer will use to change the add to cart button to a customize button)Add To Cart Button Name: Enter a text for the customize button (defaults to
Personalize this product
)Change Design Link Name: Enter a text for the design link displayed in the shopping cart (defaults to
Change design
)
Enable Printlane Designer for a product
Navigate to Catalog → Products.
Edit a product and define which Printlane template to use:
Enter a Printlane Template ID. This is the unique ID of the product template in Printlane Studio.
If you omit the Printlane Template ID, the product SKU will be used to look up a template in Printlane. If you prefer this method, make sure your template ID's in Printlane match the Product SKUs on your website.
Enable Printlane Designer for this product:
Save the product.
Verify the integration by visiting the product’s detail page in your Magento store’s front end. The Add to Cart button should now display the text defined in the Add to Cart Button Name setting. Click the button to open Printlane Designer, which will load the template based on the configured Template ID.
